About

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal  is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Society’s Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust Act. From its humble beginnings in 1934, when it took over the Rashtriya Shala, a school established in 1921 in the wake of the National Movement, the Mandal today has grown into a big educational complex imparting high-level education to more than 35,000 students.

The ethos of the Mandal, is marked by patriotic fervor, selfless service and a spirit of indigenous enterprise. These values permeate all the institutions set up by the Mandal and are the guiding principles for all of them.

History

Over the past 77 years, the Mandal has developed a large educational complex in Vile Parle, in Suburban Mumbai and has spread its wings to metro cities like, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Navi Mumbai, etc., SVKM today is proud of some of the finest educational institutes in the country like NMIMS deemed to be University, N.M. College of Commerce and Economics, Mithibai College, D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic – to name a few. It has also in its family schools from Nursery to Secondary, Jr. College providing ICSE or IB, IGCSE curriculum or CBSE curriculum. Certificate and documents to be submitted in original and 2 attested true copies at the time of Admission along with the fees by all students

  • Duly filled admission form (will be provided at the time of admission).
  • Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination.
  • School Leaving Certificate.
  • Three window envelopes with postal stamps (Rs.30/-) affixed on it.
  • Proof of local address for correspondence.
  • 1 recent stamp size photograph
  • Attested true copy of the relevant documents supporting the particular reservation (SPORTS,CULTURAL, Etc.) is also required.

In addition to the above requirements the students claiming admission under the Gujarati Linguistic Minority quota will have to submit

  • Gujarati undertaking (Provided along with the admission form).
  • An attested copy of one of the following documents can be provided as a proof in case of any
  • doubt, about the candidate belonging to the Gujarati Community.
  • Mark Sheet/School Leaving Certificate indicating fathers’ or mothers’ study in Gujarati Medium.
    OR
  • A stamped letter on the letter head of the community Head or Secretary signed by the President.
    OR
  • Vasti Patrak of the community where name of the applicant appears along with his/her parents name.

NOTE:

Students applying under GUJARATI LINGUISTIC MINORITY must satisfy the following norms:

    • SHOULD BE GUJARATI BY BIRTH AND SHOULD HAVE PASSED THE S.S.C. / EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION FROM MAHARASHTRA.
    • Certificate from the Head of the Community / Trust / institution (Government recognised) confirming the claim OR Either of the parent can produce their 10th std. mark sheet indicating Gujarati as one of the subject at the 10th std. OR Vasti Patrak.
    • In Case if the student is not GUJARATI by birth but the mother of the applicant is Gujarati, the marriage certificate of the parent indicating mother’s maiden name must be produced for verification.
